Freedom of Information

Horsenden Primary School is committed to openness and transparency and complies with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The school has adopted the Model Publication Scheme developed by the Information Commissioner's Office. This scheme sets out the types of information that the school routinely makes available to the public.

Much of this information is already available on this website, including statutory information about the school’s governance, policies, curriculum and finances.

The school also maintains a Freedom of Information Policy and Publication Scheme, which explains how information can be requested and provided. A copy of this document is available from the school office on request.

Where information is not already published on the website, it may be provided in response to a written request, subject to the exemptions set out in the Freedom of Information Act. Information will normally be provided in the format most reasonable for the school to supply.

In accordance with the Act, the school may refuse requests that are vexatious or repeated, or where the cost of compliance would exceed the appropriate limit set out in the legislation.

Where information is provided in printed form, the school may charge reasonable costs for photocopying, printing and postage. Any charges will be communicated in advance.

We encourage anyone seeking information to review the material available on the school website before submitting a request.

Requests for information should be sent to the school office.
