Nursery

Welcome to our Nursery page.

Horsenden Nursery offers 52 places (26 morning sessions and 26 full time sessions). We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, inclusive and vibrant environment for children to develop, flourish and prepare for Reception whether at Horsenden Primary or another school.

Our Nursery team consists of two teachers and two teaching assistants.

We accept children the term after they turn three years old.

Applications are made directly to our school.

Places are allocated in accordance with the admissions criteria set out by our school.

Nursery Admissions Criteria

1. Local Authority Looked After Children.

2. Children with siblings attending the main school in September 2025.

3. Children with exceptional medical or social circumstances (with supporting evidence).

4. Children based on distance from the school (measured in a straight line).

September 2026 intake

Children must be at least three years of age when they start nursery in September. You can register your child to go on the waiting list for a nursery place once they are two years of age. Please email admissions@horsenden.ealing.sch.uk to register your interest. A link to an online form will be emailed to you for completion.

Nursery applications are processed in the Spring term for a September intake.

If you registered your interest by adding your child to the Nusery waiting list, you will be asked in early Spring if you still wish your child to be considered for a Nursery place.

Offers will be made in the Spring term for a September start, which you will need to accept or decline within two weeks.

If you accept you will be invited with your child to a stay and play session, you will attend a parent information meeting and a home visit will be conducted, so we can get to know your child well before they join the Nursery. You will also need to complete the pupil admissions form and provide relevant documents.

In the event of our Nursery being oversubscribed, and therefore an offer is unable to be made, your child will go on the waiting list until a place becomes available. You will be notified when a place becomes available.

Vacancies are filled based on the admissions criteria. Your position may change if other children join or leave the list.

In Year Nursery Admissions

Your child can join our Nusery the term after they turn three years old. If you would like them to join the Nusery during the academic year, please email admissions@horenden.ealing.sch.uk or call 020 8422 5985 to find out if a place is available. You will then need to complete an online form to register your interest.

If a place is available you will be contacted with further information.

If there isn't a place available we will add your child to the waiting list.
