Science Week

Horsenden had their very own Science Week from the 2nd July until the 6th of July.

This included doing lots of investigations around the theme of Discovery and Exploration

Key Stage 1 had a visit from an Optician.

Year 4 had a visit from an environmentalist and a book author; Glyn Ivor.

Year 5 had a visit from two scientists who works at CEFAS.

Year 5 and Year 6 had a workshop exploring the world of virtual reality.

As well as this, each year group worked hard investigating different areas of study. Some linked and extended learning from their topics this year and others were new topics entirely.

The week was a great success, enjoyed by staff and by children. The teachers worked very hard to make sure all of the lessons had purpose and were enjoyable.

Well done to all of the children and parents/carers for contributing to this by donating different resources such shoe boxes or bottles. Without your help, this would not have been possible.

Here are some photographs from different year groups demonstrating what they got up to during science week.

Please also look at individual year group sections of the website for more photographs.
