Full Governing Body
Why did you decide to become a Governor at Horsenden Primary School?
I had previously served for 9 years as a school governor/Chair of Governors at a different school during which time there were two Ofsted inspections and a change of Head Teacher. I enjoyed helping that school to better the quality of learning for the school community. When I stood for public office as a local Councillor it made a lot of sense to offer this experience to Horsenden Primary.
What do you think that Governors can bring to Horsenden Primary School?
The Governors should have and use a range of talents to help the Head Teacher and all staff to deliver the best and safest possible learning environment for the children. We are the school’s critical friend, there to support and evaluate progress.
What are your interests in Education?
I have a broad interest that hopes to see children enthused with learning and given all opportunities to discover and nurture their strengths and interests.
