Term of office ends:
Achievement & Community Committee
Full Governing Body
Why did you decide to become a Governor at Horsenden Primary School?
I wanted to become a Governor because I have always felt part of the school and wanted to give back what my family has gained from being part of the school. From a very young age I have been part of Horsenden Primary School as my own sister and brother attended Horsenden and I have had two work experiences at Horsenden. Now as a parent of a Horsenden pupil I have an understanding of how the school works internally as well as externally.
What do you think that Governors can bring to Horsenden Primary School?
With my knowledge, skills and experiences as a teacher I believe I am able to put this into being a governor to help the Governing Body with general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement.
What are your interests in Education?
As a teacher I have maintained a thorough knowledge and understanding of current legislation and regulations relating to children as well as a sound knowledge of primary education.
Brief history of your career, life and background
I am a qualified primary school Teacher, I stopped working as a teacher when I had my daughter who is now in year 1 at the school. I have enjoyed education and feel it is one of the most important parts of my life and want to instil that in my daughter as well.
