Michael Morpurgo - A Lifetime In Stories

Michael Morpurgo - A Lifetime In Stories

If you find yourself with some free time over half term, why not go along with your family to The V&A Museum of Childhood? There are free things to do for all ages! At the moment, there is an exhibition dedicated to one of our favourite authors, Michael Morpurgo.

He has written many books including well known titles such as:

  • War Horse
  • Kensuke's Kingdom
  • Private Peaceful
  • A Medal For Leroy

The exhibition includes notebooks and manuscripts from some of his books, drafts and even some unpublished works. Artwork, by several illustrators included in his stories, can also be seen.

War Horse was, of course, adapted on stage at The National Theatre and Joey, one of the life size horse puppets, has been donated to the museum for visitors to see.

Open daily 10.00 – 17.45 admission is free.

The Exhibition is open until 25th February 2018.
